Retro Style CD Album Designby ~mr-vig

This is artwork I created for a CD album design. The band title appears on the far right side, as this will be folded into a 5 panel concertina with the far right seen as the front cover.
The buildings you see were of photos I took of my street, cut together in an intentionally messy fashion and made into a bitmap to create the faux halftone effect.
A cardboard paper sample was scanned for the background and the sunrays were made in Illustrator CS2, then the whole thing put together and coloured in Photoshop CS2.

This is probably one of my favorite designs, it's one I particularly enjoyed working on. There are more imagery for the back of this cover, where the lyrics are meant to be placed, and the CD face as well as the back of the CD box. I'll add them some other time (they're not as good as the front in my opinion).

This is my first deviant art post, so I hope I put this in the right category.
The original size is massive and more lush, but obviously i had to reduce it so it's possible to download, and so that it can't be ripped off so easily.. I'm not sure of the methods you artists use to ensure that you work doesn't get ripped off, if anyone can give me a few tips, that'd be greatly appreciated.
